Claude Enterprise costs US$20 per seat per month billed annually plus usage at API rates, so its bill scales with the work. Both include single sign-on, usage analytics and organisation-wide skills; Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom data retention, role-based access and a HIPAA-ready offering. Stay on Team until one of those controls, or a 151st person, becomes a requirement. Prices are Anthropic's, in US dollars excluding tax, as listed on 27 September 2026. ## What each plan costs Per person per month, in US dollars and before tax. The two plans are priced on different models: Team is a fixed price per seat, Enterprise is a seat plus what people use. Both plans include the same product: Claude Code, Cowork, connectors, skills, memory, Microsoft 365 and enterprise search, with Opus, Sonnet and Haiku on every seat. The one model difference is Fable, which Anthropic lists on Team for premium seats at 50% of weekly limits and on Enterprise without that note. Past that, the difference is in the controls and how you pay, not in what people can do. ## What Enterprise adds Team carries more of the admin a business needs than most people expect. Enterprise adds the controls a security or compliance team asks for once Claude holds sensitive work. If none of them forces Enterprise, Team is the simpler and more predictable bill. ### Will you pass 150 people on Claude? Team stops at 150 seats. Past that, Enterprise is the plan whatever else is true. ### What will your security review ask for? Team already has single sign-on and usage analytics, which is what most reviews ask for first. If yours needs SCIM provisioning, audit logs, the Compliance API, custom retention or role-based access, those are Enterprise only. HIPAA work is Enterprise only too. ### How evenly will people use it? Team is a flat price per head, so the bill is predictable and light users cost as much as heavy ones. Enterprise is a seat plus metered usage, so light users cost little and heavy users cost API rates. Which comes out cheaper depends on how your team actually uses Claude, and that is a number you can measure rather than guess. ### How does finance want to pay? Team runs on a card, monthly or annually. Enterprise is annual, and invoicing on net terms or buying through AWS Marketplace needs Anthropic's sales team. How we would start ## The plan matters less than what goes on the seats For most teams we deploy, the answer is Team: standard seats for nearly everyone, premium seats for the few people the usage data shows are hitting limits, and a move to Enterprise when a control becomes a requirement rather than a nice-to-have. You do not need a firm like ours to pick a plan; this page should be enough. Where we earn our fee is after the purchase. When Nature Baby switched its usage data on, eight of thirteen seats had been opened in the previous week and one person was two thirds of the usage. The plan was fine. Those are the controls most businesses under 150 people need on day one. ### When should a business move from Team to Enterprise? When it passes 150 people, when a security review asks for SCIM, audit logs, the Compliance API or custom retention, when health data brings in HIPAA, or when finance needs to pay on invoice. Until one of those is a real requirement, Team is the simpler and more predictable bill. ### Are Claude prices in New Zealand or Australian dollars? Anthropic lists its plans in US dollars and excluding applicable tax, so what a New Zealand or Australian business pays moves with the exchange rate and any GST that applies. Budget from the US dollar figure, not a converted one quoted months ago. ### Who needs premium seats? The few people who use Claude hardest, usually for long agentic work or Claude Code. Usage is rarely even: when Nature Baby switched its usage data on, one person accounted for two thirds of it. Put most of the team on standard seats and move individuals up when their usage shows they are hitting limits. ### Does either plan keep our data in Australia? This page compares plans, not hosting.
